Some agents used in dermatologic compounding include: Hydroquinone, Retinoic Acid, Hydrocortisone, Triamcinolone and other topical steroid, Salicylic Acid.
Anti-infectives: metronidazole, ketoconazole, fluconazole
Anesthetics: Lidocaine, Tetracaine, Benzocaine, Prilocaine
Anti-Inflammatories: Ketoprofen, Ibuprofen, Diclofenac
Hormones include: Steroid Hormones and non steroid Hormones.
Steroid Hormones: Estradiol (E2), Estriol (E3), Biest (E2 + E3), Progesteone, Cortisol, DHEA, Hydrocortisone, Testosterone.
Non Steriod Hormones include Levothyroxine (T4 ), Liothyroxine(T3).
T3/T4 (mixture of Levothyroxine and liothyronine).
